Kenya · Six safari regions
The safari regions, parks, reserves and conservancies where we plan journeys in Kenya.
Where we plan
Kenya is where our family story began, and where we plan safaris today. Each safari region holds several kinds of destination: national parks and reserves, and the conservancies, sanctuaries and group ranches around them.
Choose a safari region to see its destinations and the camps and lodges we have selected there. Each destination page says whether a camp is inside it or simply nearby.
Country
Open savannah, high plateaus, dry northern rivers and the plains below Kilimanjaro. Read about the six safari regions, when to go month by month, and the experiences we plan across the country.

Every safari region offers a distinct wilderness experience, encompassing protected national parks, community-led conservancies, and the exceptional private sanctuaries nestled within them.

Kinds of destination
Protected areas run by Kenya Wildlife Service or a county government, such as Amboseli National Park or Samburu National Reserve. Each destination page names who runs it where sources agree.
Land set aside for wildlife next to or between the parks, usually community or private land with its own rules and guests limited to its camps.
Other named destinations, such as Kimana Sanctuary or Olgulului-Ololarashi, shown with the type their own sources use.
Definitions are general guidance; each destination record holds its own sources.
