About the lodge

About Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge.

Kilaguni Serena was one of the earliest lodges built inside a Kenyan national park. Its stone buildings look over a waterhole where elephants and buffalo come to drink, with Kilimanjaro and the Chyulu Hills beyond.

Guests head out on private game drives, take a sundowner at Lion Rock and visit Mzima Springs to watch hippos underwater.

Kenya Wildlife Service calls this the high season and the best time for wildlife viewing, with sunny weather and shorter grass.

April to June

KWS says the long rains arrive in these months, and many park roads may need a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
