About the camp

About The Ritz-Carlton, Masai Mara Safari Camp.

The Ritz-Carlton's first safari camp opened in 2025 on the banks of the Sand River, inside the Maasai Mara National Reserve, looking over a wildlife corridor. Suites are raised in the tree canopy, each with a deck, plunge pool and butler.

Twice-daily game drives in open vehicles are private, with bush breakfasts, picnics and dinners out in the reserve. The camp has a kids' club, a spa and a four-bedroom suite.

When to go

The camp through the year.

July to October

Usually the migration months on the Kenyan side, and the busiest time in the reserve.

April to June

The long rains. Some roads need four-wheel drive.

The rest of the year

Kenya Wildlife Service also names December to March as a high season. We help you choose the right months for what you hope to see.
