About Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa.

Taita Hills Safari Resort stands at the gate of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, about three hours by road from Mombasa. Charter flights land at its own airstrip. A small museum shows the area's First World War history.

Game drives in the sanctuary can end with a bush dinner at Kudu Point, its highest spot. The resort has a spa and a kids' club.

Kenya Wildlife Service calls this the high season and the best time for wildlife viewing, with sunny weather and shorter grass.

April to June

KWS says the long rains arrive in these months, and many park roads may need a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
