About the lodge

About Ol Lentille.

Ol Lentille describes itself as the only community-owned luxury lodge in Kenya. Since 2007 it has raised more than US$5 million for schools, healthcare and wildlife conservation.

Its four villas sleep between two and six guests, some with their own plunge pools and views to Mount Kenya. An infinity pool overlooks two waterholes, and days can include camel safaris and time with the local community.

When to go

The lodge through the year.

July to March

The high season in KWS guidance for Kenya's parks, when shorter grass can make wildlife easier to see. Sightings are never guaranteed.

April to June

The long rains. KWS says most park roads may need four-wheel drive at this time.

All year

KWS describes Kenya's central highlands as cool and the north as hot and dry, so pack for warm days and cool evenings.
