About ol Donyo Lodge.

ol Donyo Lodge sits on Mbirikani Ranch in the Chyulu Hills, between Tsavo and Amboseli, on land owned by about 4,000 Maasai. Every suite has its own pool and a rooftop star bed.

It offers more ways to explore than most camps: game drives by day and night, walks, horseback safaris for confident riders and mountain biking. Two hides overlook the waterhole. It is run by Great Plains Conservation and is a member of Relais & Châteaux.

Kenya Wildlife Service calls this the high season and the best time for wildlife viewing, with sunny weather and shorter grass.

April to June

KWS says the long rains arrive in these months, and many park roads may need a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
