About the camp

About Kibo Safari Camp.

Kibo Safari Camp sits just outside Amboseli National Park, near Kimana Gate, with tents and a terrace facing Mount Kilimanjaro. Much of the food comes from the camp's own farm.

Guests go into the park on game drives and can visit a Maasai village by day. Evenings end with Maasai dancing around the fire.

When to go

The camp through the year.

December to March

A high season for wildlife viewing, according to KWS, with short grass and mostly sunny weather.

April to June

The long rains. KWS says animals can be harder to see and many park roads may need four-wheel drive.

July to December

The other high season in KWS guidance, with short grass that makes wildlife easier to see. Sightings are never guaranteed.
